Hello, I am Lorna. I am a registered paediatric nurse and have been looking after families for over 25 years within the nursing and wider care profession.

Throughout my career I have witnessed the profound moments that shape us and I have had the privilege of holding space for families during significant times in their lives. Becoming an Independent Celebrant felt like a natural continuation for me to expand the way I care for people in our community in a much broader deeper way.

I believe nursing and celebrant work are rooted in connection and compassion. It is a privilege to serve families across East Lothian where I live with my wife and young son. I trained with Celebrant Training Scotland and provide support, guidance and a steady hand.

Wedding Ceremonies & Vow Renewals

As an independent celebrant I can travel to any location of your choice and conduct the ceremony of your dreams. I am not restricted by any set frameworks or templates, I am guided by you, and what matters to you most. As part of the LGBTQ+ community, I know that all love stories are special and every one of my ceremonies are personal and unique to you.

Funerals & Memorials

With an extensive background in nursing, I bring my experience in supporting families through extremely vulnerable moments in their lives. I have a deep understanding of end of life care and how it is hugely important to a family's grief journey to have a meaningful funeral for their loved one. I am calm under pressure and every ceremony I write is personal, carefully crafted and delivered with presence, authenticity and sincerity.
